Book Review: The Ten Thousand Doors of January: A Mesmerizing Portal to Adventure and Imagination

If you've been around this blog for a while, you know that I went MIA for about 5 years. A lot happened. We moved to Florida, I started a new job, we welcomed a tiny baby boy, I got REALLY good at my job which meant I was on call a lot. As an RN in the NICU I was placing PICC lines, teaching, attending high risk deliveries in the off hours because staffing sucked, and I had lots of leadership responsibilities. Needless to say, I wasn't reading fiction. I was reading lots of books on neonatology and taking tests for my certification and attending clinical training. I didn't have time for books, even though I missed them. Why am I telling you this? Because last year my unit closed and I found myself with a lot of free time. I promised myself I'd read again and I ordered The Ten Thousand Doors of January.
